Immaculate Conception class gathers for 50th reunion
The Class of 1966 of the former Immaculate Conception High School at Lock Haven held a weekend gathering recently in observance of their 50th class reunion.
It was a weekend packed full of memories and good times. On Saturday, Oct. 1, the group met for dinner at Haywood’s on the Green. So many stories were shared, along with a good meal and watching Penn State win their game on the restaurant’s many television sets.
The next morning, the classmates attended mass at Immaculate Conception Church. The flowers on the side of the altar were placed in memory of six deceased classmates — Mike Bonadio, Diane Dion, Rocco Gillott, Michaela Riccardo, Paul Walison and Donna McMaster.
Afterwards, the 11 classmates and spouses took a tour of Lock Haven Catholic School. A lot of changes were noted, but all agreed that it is wonderful to see the school continue to thrive and grow.
Finally, all attended a delicious brunch at the Dutch Haven Restaurant.
It was hard to see it all end, but it was agreed to meet again once a year. Those attending were Mary Guerriero Herr, Paula DiGeso Neyhart, Mary June Stephens Geyer, Ron Smith, Charlie Farrington, Dorothy Pfaff Costulas, Cathi Vilello Houser, Margie Dean Murphy, Patty Grieb, Marian Stoddart Ryan and Ned Rhine. Those who weren’t able to attend were Steve Vuocolo, Mike Murray, Ella Belford Spangler and Mary Jerles Weaver.
