Glossners celebrate 60 years of marriage
Wilda Myers and Clyde F. Glossner became husband and wife 60 years ago today on May 28, 1955 in First Evangelical United Brethren Church, Lock Haven.
The couple was honored at an open house hosted by their family at the Dunnstown Fire Hall on May 16.
Many friends and family members attended. Entertainment was provided by the Parlor Peckers Old Country and Gospel Band from Centre County.
In September 1955, Clyde and Wilma purchased the home in Woodward Township where they still live and reared three children, Clyde F. Glossner Jr. of Castanea, George W. Glossner (Stacy) of Winchester, Va., and Jesse N. Glossner (Lisa Seasholtz) of Sterling, Va.
Wilda was a registered nurse and worked at Jersey Shore Hospital. Clyde, who worked as a food inspector for the PA Department of Agriculture, is a Woodward Township supervisor.
They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandchildren are Teresa Everett (Robert III); Clyde F. Glossner III; Jesse N. Glossner Jr. (Ali Flynn) and Cassie Glossner.
Clyde and Wilda are active members of the Swissdale United Methodist Church.
They wish everyone would have as good a life as they have enjoyed for the last 60 years.
