Seylers to celebrate 70th anniversary
Clair and Pearl Seyler of Mill Hall will celebrate their 72nd wedding anniversary on May 26.
They were married at the Methodist Church in Lock Haven on May 26, 1943. Shortly after the wedding day, Clair left for World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. After the war, Clair worked at Hammermill Paper Company for over 40 years until he retired.
Pearl has been the home-maker (AKA tutor, chef, baker, seamstress and chauffer) and remains active in the church.
They enjoy Grand Ole Opry music, gardening, western TV shows and yard sailing. Clair and Pearl have lived in Clinton County all of their lives.
Although they like to keep their anniversary a private day, they allowed their family to celebrate their 50th with a small party and their children will help them celebrate their 70th with a quiet dinner.
They have four children, Shelby (Seyler) Confer of Rote, Richard Seyler of Felton, DE, David Seyler of Jersey Shore, and Andrew Seyler of Mt Airy, MD. They have seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
