Thompsons mark 65 years of marriage

Ronald and Carolyn Thompson of Salladasburg are observing their 65th wedding anniversary on March 17, 2016.

They were married by the Rev. Robert Fleck in Salladasburg United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Thompson is the former Carolyn Cohick. She was born in Lock Haven, a daughter of the late Lewis and Clara Miller Cohick. Carolyn graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1949 and Lock Haven Teachers College in 1953. She is a retired elementary teacher in the Jersey Shore Area School District.

Ronald was born in Jersey Shore, a son of the late Clair and Annie Thompson. He is a 1949 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and retired co-owner of Thompson’s Meat Packing Company.

The couple are parents of two daughters, Ronna Lee Thompson of Beech Creek, and Carol Barrows of Jersey Shore, and a son Dennis Thompson of Jersey Shore. They have seven granddaughters, a step grandson, three great grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren.

Ronald and Carolyn will be honored at a family dinner.
