St. Francis Honor Society
LORETTO, Pa. — Seniors at Saint Francis University were inducted into the Saint Francis University Honor Society.
To earn honor society status, students must maintain a minimum cumulative QPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) with no “F” grades on their entire undergraduate transcript.
Among the 156 students inducted were Allyce Boardman of Howard; Kiersten Dove of Bellefonte; Carlie Knapp of Bellefonte and Laura Nicholas of Pleasant Gap.
Saint Francis University is the oldest Catholic-Franciscan college in the United States.
LEXINGTON, Va. — Merit Patterson, a member of the class of 2019 at Virginia Military Institute, has been selected as S7 captain (morale, welfare and recreation) for the 2018-19 academic year.
In this role, he will be responsible for promoting Cadet Corps morale and cohesion, increasing corps unity, and organizing and overseeing social events.
Cadet Patterson is an international studies major at VMI.
A graduate of Central Mountain High School, he is the son of Katy Jo Verrelli of Lock Haven and Lt. Col. Toby Patterson of Stafford, Va.
