Emma Peiffer, 9, daughter of Wendy and Jim Peiffer of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Mill Hall, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Florida Pageant in August. The pageant is held for girls ages 4-18.
Emma helps with the Florida Masonic Lodge. She also enjoys playing with friends and playing dress up. She loves animals and enjoys participating in church outings.
The contestants compete in four categories including formal wear modeling, personal introduction, interview and community service project. The program is based on inner beauty, as well as poise and presentation and offers an “All American sprit of fun for family and friends.” Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence and learning new skills, such as good attitudes about competition as well as setting and achieving personal goals.
She is the granddaughter of Jack and Sarah Bechdel of Mill Hall.
