Area attorney named‘super lawyer’

WILLIAMSPORT — Cliff Rieders, a partner in the law firm of Rieders, Travis, Humphrey, Waters and Dohrmann, has again been selected for the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers List.

A statement from Super Lawyers indicates that Rieders has “demonstrated excellence in the practice of law” so he has received an honor that is limited “to no more than 5 percent of the attorneys” within the Commonwealth.

Super Lawyers recognizes attorneys who have “distinguished themselves in their legal practice.”

The peer review selection process is “rigorous” and results in “third-party validation” on an attorney’s professional accomplishments.

Rieders has been named a Super Lawyer in every year since the inception of the program. He is a past president of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, now known as the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He has served as an original and founding member of Pennsylvania’s Patient Safety Authority. He is a longtime member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Standard Jury Instruction Committee, which writes jury instructions and commentary provided to judges throughout the Commonwealth. He is admitted in Pennsylvania, New York, the District of Columbia, and practices in numerous federal courts including the Supreme Court of the United States.

The attorney has been recognized for his academic accomplishments, as well. He has authored a variety of textbooks and pamphlets on legal topics, and lectured to many distinguished lawyer groups. As a life member of the American Law Institute, Attorney Cliff Rieders has helped to develop standard legal statements for use throughout the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Rieders maintains an active litigation practice. He lectures and speaks before many legal groups and is a Nationally Board Certified Trial Advocate.
