LOCK HAVEN — The Best Western Lock Haven has received the Best Western Chairman’s Award for outstanding quality standards.

The award recognizes Best Western International hotels with a cleanliness and maintenance inspection score of 980 points or more out of a possible 1,000. This ranking places them in the top 5 percent of all Best Westerns.

Hotels must also meet Best Western’s requirements for design and high customer service scores to qualify for the distinction.

“The Chairman’s Award is an important symbol of success,” said local Best Western owners Ron and Abby Pete. “This award confirms the Best Western Lock Haven’s commitment to providing quality accommodations for our guests. Our housekeeping and maintenance departments have worked hard to achieve this level of excellence.”

Located at 101 E. Walnut St., the Best Western Lock Haven features 67 rooms that include free high-speed wireless internet, a newly equipped fitness center, cable TV, guest laundry facilities, a business center, ironing boards, irons, and coffee pots in every room, and pets are welcomed.

“We are currently in the process of remodeling our continental breakfast and lobby. Our Mountain View Room is available for meetings or parties and seats up to 70 people,” Ron Pete said.
