Attorney Amos Goodall receives national award
STATE COLLEGE– H. Amos Goodall Jr. of Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak received the Theresa Award presented by the Theresa Foundation.
The Theresa Foun-dation was formed by Vincent and Susan Russo to honor the memory of their daughter, Theresa, who died at five after fighting all her life with microcephalus and cerebral palsy. The foundation strives to aid children with special needs and supports their parents through a variety of programs focusing on art, music, and recreation.
Goodall was recognized for his decades of work assisting families in creating the legal framework necessary to ensure that the disabled children are cared for long after the parents themselves have passed away.
The Theresa Awards are held annually, around the time of Theresa’s birthday, to recognize the outstanding achievements of individuals who go above and beyond in helping and advocating for those with special needs. It is the foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year, which helps them fulfill their mission of fostering every child’s unique abilities to express themselves through art, music, dance, and recreation programs.
