Cliff Rieders named a Pre-eminent Lawyer

WILLIAMSPORT — Clifford Rieders, a partner in the law firm of Rieders, Travis, Hum-phrey, Waters & Dohr-mann, has received the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards “reflecting the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and Judiciary.”

This rating enables Rieders to be listed in the registry of Preeminent Lawyers.

The “AV” designation is one of the oldest and most well known peer review rating systems for lawyers and is published by Martindale-Hubbell. The “A” stands for the highest possible peer review rating for legal work and ability and the “V” represents the highest ethical standards. The Martindale-Hubbell rating system has been consulted by lawyers and judges for many years and is now available to the public.

Rieders is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and has an undergraduate degree from New York University Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa.

Rieders is a well-known author and writer on legal subjects and maintains an active trial practice in Pennsylvania. Rieders is also admitted in New York State, the District of Columbia and numerous Federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.

He has distinguished himself as a life member of the American Law Institute and has served on many of its Consulting Groups, drafting legal standards used throughout the United States. Rieders has been highly recognized by the Pennsylvania Association of Justice, formerly Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, for which he also has served as President.

Rieders stated, “When I began practicing law, every lawyer was anxious to receive the approval of their peers through the Martindale-Hubbell rating system. I am honored to be in the book of pre-eminent attorneys who have consistently received that rating.”
