SBDC can help you start a business
LOCK HAVEN — If you’ve always had a dream to start your own business but didn’t know where to start, this workshop is for you.
It will help aspiring entrepreneurs to begin the process of successful business ownership including evaluating business ideas, developing a business plan, and exploring financing options. The presenters/discussion leaders for this workshop are the members of the Small Business Development Center staff and a local commercial lender.
Attendees will learn:
r Unique lifestyle requirements involved in owning a business
r How to assess the feasibility of their business idea
r Differences between business organization structures
r How to develop a business plan
r How to obtain financing
r How to market their product or service
r The applications and licenses needed to start their company
The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 23 at 1127 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
Registration can be made at http://www.lhup.edu/sbdc/training.html or call 570-484-2848. Those interested are asked to register by Aug. 21. Walk-ins can be accepted if space is available.
Cost is $20 and payment is required on or before 7 days after registering for the workshop.
Cancellation policy — In five or more business days refunds are available or the person may reschedule to another course; in less than five days, there are no refunds but the person may reschedule to another course.
