Wayne Township Landfill wins big at annual “Road-E-O”
Four Wayne Township Landfill employees placed high in the Solid Waste Association of North America heavy equipment and truck International Road-E-O, held in Orange County, Fla. Oct. 27 and 28. Of approximately 80 contestants, Cole Alexander placed first in the Wheel Loader event, Dave Kessling placed first in the Dozer event, Cody Alexander placed second in the Compactor event and Eric Dixon Sr. placed fifth in the Roll Off Truck event. Landfill Manager Jay Alexander said, “It makes us all very proud to go to a national event like this and have the success we had. This speaks very clear of the caliber of employees we have and their abilities to perform under pressure. To come home with two National Champs and a second is really hard to accomplish. In the equipment competition, WTL placed better than any other state. These guys make us proud; it’s a pleasure to send them to this event and they produce these results.” From left are, Dave Kessling, Cole Alexander, Jay Alexander and Cody Alexander.
