The first step for starting a small business
LOCK HAVEN — Have you always had a dream to start your own business but didn’t know where to start?
This workshop will help aspiring entrepreneurs to begin the process of successful business ownership including evaluating business ideas, developing a business plan, and exploring financing options.
The presenters/discussion leaders for this workshop are the members of the SBDC staff and a local commercial lender.
Attendees will learn:
r Unique lifestyle requirements involved in owning a business
r How to assess the feasibility of their business idea
r Differences between business organization structures
r How to develop a business plan
r How to obtain financing
r How to market their product or service
r The applications and licenses needed to start their company
The workshop will take place on July 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at 301 West Church Street, Lock Haven. The cost is $20 and those who wish to participate must registered by visiting https://community.lhup.edu/sbdc/training.htm or by calling 570-484-2848.
Payment is required on or before seven days after regsitering.
Refunds will be available to those who cancel five or more business days before the course. If a participant cancels less than five days before no refunds will be available but they may reschedule to another course.
Walk-ins will be accepted if seating is available.
