Free workshop on ‘selling to the government’

LOCK HAVEN — On Thursday, August 23, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. a workshop will be held for those desiring to learn the basic principles that businesses must know in order to do business with the federal, state and local government.

Topics will include: how the government buys and services; certifications and registrations necessary to sell to federal, state, or local governments; how government agencies advertise their opportunities; locating sub-contracting opportunities with government “prime” contractors and understanding the sales process. Location of this workshop is the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce, 102 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, second floor boardroom.

This workshop is co-sponsored by the Lock Haven Small Business Development Center, the Innovative Manufacturing Center, the Williamsport Chamber of Commerce as well as SEDA-COG.
