Fullington buys cruise division

STATE COLLEGE — The Fullington Auto Bus Co. is pleased to announce that they have purchased Voyager VIP Cruises.

Fullington has partnered with Voyager VIP Cruises and its sole owner Joyce Williams Boone since Boone moved into the area several years ago, offering a variety of cruise and tour options beyond where the wheels of our busses can travel. Earlier this year, Mrs. Boone approached Fullington about retiring and the opportunity was there to purchase the company.

“We’re excited to begin yet another new chapter in our company’s long history!” said Michael Fullington, owner.

Since 1908, The Fullington Auto Bus Company has served central Pennsylvania and beyond with safe, reliable and comfortable transportation services. Fullington Trailways is the most recognized transportation provider in our area, serving educational groups, sports teams, church groups, and corporate VIPs.

The company began operations in 1908 when Emerson M. Fullington and his three sons began a livery and surrey company in Clearfield. Michael and Lory Fullington are committed to continuing the legacy of service passed down through four generations of Fullingtons over the past 110 years.

“That’s my family’s name on the sides of those buses,” remarked Michael Fullington. “I feel a personal responsibility for making sure we honor that legacy in everything we do as a company.”

Negotiations for the purchase of the company began in early 2018 and concluded in June.

“We take great pride in everything we do, and the cruise division will be no different!” said Fullington.
