Melanie McLane named Realtor of the Year
JERSEY SHORE – Melanie McLane, owner of Jackson Real Estate in Jersey Shore, was presented the Realtor® of the Year Award by the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® this week in Harrisburg. The state award acknowledges meritorious contributions to the real estate community.
McLane, a member of the West Branch Valley Association of Realtors®, has been a Realtor® for more than 40 years. A second-generation Realtor®, she served as president of her local association and chaired numerous committees. She was presented the Realtor® of the Year, the Spirit and the Outstanding Achievement awards by her local association.
At the state level, McLane served four years as a district vice president and chaired numerous association committees and task forces.
A national real estate speaker and educator, she has presented many designation courses and has written several courses and two books. She was inducted into the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council Hall of Fame as a trainer and named Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist of the Year by the National Association of Realtors®.
“Melanie is known throughout the country as an excellent real estate educator,” said PAR President Todd Umbenhauer. “For those who have taken one of Melanie’s classes, they know she’s not only an educator, but she continues to learn herself, having achieved more than 10 designations and certifications.”
McLane is a graduate of Kenyon College. She has been an organist at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, serves as a trustee for the Jersey Shore Library and volunteers for the New Love Center Food Bank.
The Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® is a trade/professional association that serves more than 33,000 members in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
