LHU SBDC offers QuickBooks workshops
LOCK HAVEN –The Lock Haven University Small Business Development Center is offering two QuickBooks workshops for small business owners on June 26. QuickBooks is the number one management and accounting tool utilized by start-up and small business entrepreneurs.
The morning of June 26 will be devoted to individuals looking for the basic knowledge of QuickBooks. From 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the LHU’s SBDC location 301 W. Church St. Lock Haven, participants will discuss tools in QuickBooks that will assist in analyzing your organizations financial data.
Attendees will learn how to track sales and expenses, how to customize invoices, how to track accounts receivable and accounts payable, how to add new accounts, items, clients and vendors to name a few.

The afternoon of June 26 will be devoted to those interested in explaining their basic knowledge of the QuickBooks program. From 1 – 4 p.m. the SBDC will present QuickBooks Intermediate. The objectives of the workshops will be to focus on the tools QuickBooks gives you for analyzing financial data. Review of QuickReports, preset reports, and graphs, how to create QuickReports, and how to add a column to a report.
Also discussed will be how to move a column in a report, discussion on the types of preset reports QuickBooks offers. In the class you will practice creating reports and viewing them onscreen, how to customize a report by changing how it looks (filtering). Learn how to process reports in batches, to save reports as Portable Document Format (PDF) files, to learn how to export a report to Microsoft Excel, to practice filtering reports in Microsoft Excel, to learn about the types of graphs QuickBooks offers, to create and customize several graphs.
