Women of Moose set holiday dates

LOCK HAVEN — The Women of the Moose Chapter 21 has had a successful Rada knife fundraiser and is currently selling raffle tickets for two turkey and wreath combos, to be given away Dec. 18.

Tickets are available from a co-worker or at the bar at the Moose Family Center.

The chapter has several holiday activities planned, beginning with stuffing gift bags for Susque-View Home residents on Dec. 5. The women will go caroling at Susque-View Dec. 7 at 7 p.m., and all are welcome to join them.

The women will donate pies and cakes for the annual senior citizens holiday dinner sponsored by the Lock Haven Area Jaycees on Dec. 11.

The chapter’s Christmas dinner and meeting will be held Dec. 19. Those planning to attend are asked to sign up in the bar ahead of time.

The Women of the Moose meet the first and third Mondays of the month at 6:45 p.m.

In addition, the Moose lodge will host D.J. Joe on Dec. 17.

On Sunday, Dec. 18, members’ children and grandchildren up to age 10 are invited to Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 10 a.m. and a Christmas party from 10 a.m. to noon. The turkey and wreath combos raffle drawings will be held during the party. Families planning to attend should sign up ahead of time.

The New Year’s Eve party Dec. 31 will feature the band Shot in the Dark, and tickets will be available at the bar.
