Janel Eck is BPW Girl of Month

JERSEY SHORE — Janel A. Eck, daughter of Ken and Jody Eck of Williamsport, is the Business and Professional Women’s Club Girl of the Month for October.

Janel has taken many leadership roles in Key Club in school, as well as the positions of president of the Outdoor Club, team captain of the softball team as a junior, National Honor Society historian, president of Student Council, and vice president of the Class of 2018 for two years.

She was chosen to represent her sophomore class at the HOBY awards, and she represented her senior class at the state Flaming Foliage Festival.

Janel has lettered three times in both softball and basketball. She has also received the JV award and the coach’s award in basketball.

Her other school activities have included FBLA, Class Committee and Homecoming Committee for four years; National Business Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Football “Aquatic Engineer” and Student Ambassadors for two years; and Prom Committee, National English Honor Society and National Art Honor Society for one year.

Outside school, Janel has volunteered her time as a server at Immaculate Conception Church dinners and as a childcare attendant at All Things Bright and Beautiful. She also helps the athletic director with the football team and babysits part time.

Janel enjoys sports, camping, 4-wheeling, traveling, fishing and baking.

She plans to attend Lock Haven University in the Physician’s Assistant program.
