Jersey Shore residents win cars at benefits

Nathan Muthler of Jersey Shore was the winner of a 1971 Volkswagen Beetle at the 2017 Clinton County Shine and Show to support The Bestwick Foundation, a non-profit organization raising money to fight cancer, at Central Pennsyvlania Auto Auction. Muthler was one of more than 400 people who purchased raffle tickets at the show. At top, shown in the Beetle is Muthler’s 15-year-old son, Gabriel Muthler, who is delighted with the classic bug and can’t wait until his 16th birthday in April to get behind the wheel. Below at right, Karen Slusher of Jersey Shore was the winner of a Ford Mustang, donated by Selinsgrove Ford for the “Drive Out Cancer” campagin. The car is a 2004 40th Anniversary Edition with low mileage. Karen purchased the winning ticket at the Watsontown Flea Market, Carpenter Road, Milton. She is employed by Gittings Security at Croda in Mill Hall. Since telling her co-workers of her good fortune, they now refer to her as “Mustang Sally.”
