Lumber yard for railroad system
Cony (Conrad) H. Lau was in charge of the lumber yard in Renovo that built all the furniture for the railroad system. His great-grandson Charles Barnum, a western Clinton County historian, sent us this photo to share with other Express readers. He said he still has pieces of furniture that Lau built, including a desk, chairs, davenports and tables. Lau also owned a craft planing mill and upholstery shop.
