Road work begins Monday in Wayne, Bald Eagle

LOCK HAVEN –Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Clinton County Maintenance crews will perform shoulder and bank work in Clinton County next week on the following roadways in Wayne and Bald Eagle townships.

r Pine Mountain Road (Route 2012) from the Love Run Bridge to Aughenbaugh Road.

r Sugar Run Road (Route 2022) from the Beech Creek/Bald Eagle Township line to Laurel Run Road.

Work is scheduled to take place from the hours of 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. beginning Monday, Jan.y 8 and continuing through Friday, Jan, 19. PennDOT expects this works to enhance safety by improving the width of the shoulders and increasing sight distances.

Motorists will encounter alternating traffic patterns controlled by flaggers in the roadway. Those traveling on these routes should anticipate short travel delays and be alert for roadway flaggers. All work is weather dependent.

PennDOT reminds drivers to use caution in and around all work zones, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.

To help make decisions as to whether to travel during winter weather, motorists are encouraged to “Know Before You Go” by checking conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 850 traffic cameras. Users can also see plow truck statuses and travel alerts along a specific route using the “Check My Route” tool.
