Farmers can get recertified

MONTOURSVILLE — A pesticide recertification training for farmers and other private applicators will be held Monday from 7 to 9:15 p.m. at Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 900 Elm St.

Everyone who needs recertified in Clinton, Lycoming and any other county in the region is encouraged to sign up for the free training. It is not too late to register.

Sponsored by Stoltzfus Construction and S&S Manufacturing and presented by Penn State Extension, the training will be held in a “2+2” pest education format.

Topics will include “Pollinators and Pesticide Stewardship” and “Pesticide Spill Protocol” for two core credits, and “What’s New for Weed Control 2018” and “Pest Management in Field Crops” for two category credits.

Applicators are reminded to bring their license.
