Rotary Interact has $2,000 goal

Gwen Marquardt, center, a freshman at Central Mountain High School and a member of the Rotary Interact Club there, is passionate about a community service project. She visited the Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven on Jan. 24 and shared the news about the Interact’s fundraisers to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania. The 69-member student club plans to raise $2,000 by April 6, when a fundraising event for CMHS students will be held at Malinak Stadium with competitions, food, music, games, raffles and speakers. The Interact has also held a sub fundraiser and has donation cans placed in participating businesses. More information is available by emailing cmhsrmhcnight@gmail.com. With Gwen are the Interact’s Rotary advisor, Alison Kramer, left, and Downtown Club President Diahann Claghorn. The Interact club is co-sponsored by the Downtown Club and the Rotary Club of Lock Haven.
