Taken in front of the school at Laurel Run around 1937, it shows, from left, in front: Esther Packer, Bessie Peters, Raymond Mantle, Florence Peters, Elsie Packer, Sam Peters and Edward Packer; in the second row: Lloyd Mantle, David Muthler, teacher Miss Gummo, Bill Peters, Owen Mantle, Nevin “Jack” Myers, Doyle Mantle, Curtin Mantle, Ralph Muthler and John Williams; and in back: Dorothy Muthler, Lillian Halstead, Vera Gummo, Louise Miller and Lois Packer. Jack is currently 92 years old. His son Dean, of Mill Hall, brought the photo to The Express office for him, and Dean tells us that the young people shown have more than one connection with his family — the Packers (including Elsie Packer McClintick) are relatives of his wife, Cindy Myers.
