Despite a chilly start, Saturday turned into a perfect day for Renovo families to take to Stellfox Pond in South Renovo for an afternoon, for the fourth annual fishing derby. The event is coordinated by Pastor Doug Conway with the Renovo Area United Methodist Church, Erica Dorman of Bucktail Medical Center, and other volunteers. About 100 children and their families came out to enjoy the fishing and food and for chances to win prizes and trophies. “The outpouring of donations from the community and businesses in Renovo continue to allow the fishing derby to be a free, family friendly event,” Conway said.
