BELLEFONTE — The PennDOT Centre County maintenance office announces the work schedule for next week, weather permitting.

Drainage improvements are planned along Route 64 and Route 350, as well as Route 445 on Madisonburg Mountain.

Patching will be done on Route 144 on Snow Shoe Mountain, Howard Divide Road, Fisherman’s/Paradise Road, Park Avenue, and Routes 64, 322 and 350.

ROUTE 64 PROJECT

Francis J. Palo, Inc. will begin construction on Route 64 in Walker Township, near the Snydertown Road intersection closest to Lamar. That intersection will be closed. Temporary traffic signals will be in place, along with barriers on the bridge deck for half-width construction, a 12-foot width restriction.

The contractor will begin removing the asphalt wearing surface from the bridge deck and perform bridge repairs. Next is new concrete bridge deck. The work is anticipated to last until Oct. 2. On Monday, excavating for widening will take place, on Tuesday paving, on Wednesday setting the barriers, and on Thursday milling the bridge deck wearing surface. Friday is a rain make-up day.
