Ready for river concerts!

PHOTO PROVIDED

The floating stage was installed yesterday at the J. Doyle Corman Amphitheatre near Jay Street, in time for the first river concert of the summer. The Gabe Stillman Band will start off the City of Lock Haven’s free summer concerts on the river with a blues show at 6:30 p.m. this Sunday. Concerts will be held at 6:30 every Sunday through Aug. 12. The final concert on the floating stage is scheduled on a special date, Saturday, Aug. 18, when The Chicago Authority will play a jazz show in conjunction with the annual LH JAMS Festival (Jazz and Art on Main Street). This is the concert series’ 20th anniversary season, and it includes Friday evening concerts in Triangle Park. A total of 23 concerts are planned and are supported by community sponsors. The schedule can be found at www.lockhavenpa.gov under “Community.” Also, refrigerator magnets with the schedule are available at The Express, City Hall, and the concerts tonight and Sunday.
