Students explore careers at CTC summer camp

The Keystone Central School District Career and Technology Center offered a Summer Career Exploration Camp. The three-day camp was held in the beginning of June and was for students entering the 6th or 7th grade in the 2018-2019 school year. The camp gave students the opportunity to explore a variety of careers through fun and interactive hands-on activities in six of the CTC program areas, Health Care, Construction Trades, Design Engineering, Machining, Cosmetology and Culinary Arts. On the last day campers also attended an industry panel discussion and met with visitors from local law enforcement and the fire department. The camp was partly funded by the Career Readiness Mini Grant and Mini Grants from the Keystone Foundation. The camp was designed to help students develop career awareness.
