Class of 1934

The Lamar Township High School graduates of 1934 are, from left, seated: Lois McKibben, Bessie Baker, Margaret Wensil, Maretta Lucas, Pauline Gilmore, Clara Andrews and Lois Grieb; and standing: music instructor Mrs. Jean H. He tells us that Margaret Wensil Whipple, also of Salona, is the only living class member, and she is 101 years old! She and her classmates completed 10th grade at Lamar Township High School, then had the option of attending either Mill Hall or Lock Haven for the upper grades. Margaret chose Lock Haven, where she graduated in the class of 1936.
