LOCK HAVEN — The Shutterflies Photo Camp sponsored by the Clinton County Arts Council will be held Monday through Friday, July 16 to 20 at Station Gallery, 2 E. Bald Eagle St.

This year’s instructor is Mike Harvey, an educator and photographer from the Jersey Shore area, who has some interesting photo projects in mind to make the experience full of creative fun.

The targeted age group is fifth to eighth grade.

The camp has been a favorite with local young students for several years, according to the arts council.

Woodlands Bank continues to be the sponsor, and this sponsorship allows the camp to be offered again this summer. CCAC members, Woodlands Bank, and other donors combine their efforts to make it happen.

At the 2018 camp, each student will have the use of a camera during class and learn basic photo information as well as more advanced photo skills. Also, each will have some exposure to correcting and manipulating images on a computer. Students will receive a T-shirt and have the chance to have their best image printed and framed for display.

A slide show will be presented at the conclusion of the week’s camp, and families are invited to join their students and see their photos at a reception at Station Gallery.

There are still some open seats in the class, so it is not too late to enroll. Applications can be found online at the arts council website: www.stationgalleryccac.org.

Woodlands Bank in Lock Haven is currently hosting an exhibit of the works from the 2017 camp, which was under the instruction of Emma Daniels and Sami Cutrona, with the assistance of CCAC board liaison Rich Wykoff.

Five of last year’s camp participants are showing two photos each in the bank lobby: Robbie Andrews, Sydney Cooper, Chelsea Gibson, Jaclyn Grenninger and Kara Stover.

The display will be available for public viewing at the bank through August. The display will then move to the Williamsport branch of Woodlands Bank where it will open on First Friday, Sept. 7 and remain on display through October.
