Town of Howard celebrates bicentennial

In 1976, the community of Howard celebrated the nation’s bicentennial by planting a number of decorative plants. The people may have been members of the Howard Civic Club, but we don’t know their names. We also don’t know exactly where or when this photo was taken, but we are impressed with the sign that seems to state “Howard… Bicentennial … 1776… 1976… 200 years of freedom… Take pride in America’s Past – Take Pride in America’s Future.” Anyone who has more information about this photo is encouraged to contact Laura Jameson at The Express, by calling 570-748-6791 or emailing ljameson@lockhaven.com.
