LHU president to speak at Economic Partnership dinner

LOCK HAVEN — Robert Pignatello, Lock Haven University’s 15th president, will be the keynote speaker at the Clinton County Economic Partnership’s upcoming annual dinner.

The event, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 24, will be held at Lock Haven University’s Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center with a social beginning at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:45 p.m.

Pignatello began his tenure at LHU in July. Prior to that, he had served as senior vice president for finance and administration and chief operating officer at Hunter College in New York City, part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system.

In addition to more than two decades in senior executive and administrative positions within higher education, Pignatello is a seasoned community leader. He was a council member, deputy mayor and mayor of the Township of Verona, New Jersey; an administrator in the Essex County Sheriff’s Department in Newark; and a legislative assistant in the New Jersey State Senate.

Pignatello holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and public administration from Montclair State University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Rutgers University Graduate School. He is currently a candidate for a Doctor of Education degree at Saint Peter’s University in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, now completing his dissertation.
