Students rewarded

Members of Central Mountain High School football team help dish out ice cream to students at Mill Hall Elementary school.
A member of the team talks to students about the importance of showing respect and kindness.

MILL HALL — On Sept. 28, the Central Mountain High School football team came to Mill Hall Elementary School as part of the School Wide Positive Behavior reward.

Students and players were treated to ice cream sundaes and extra recess as a reward for positive behavior.

Mill Hall students attended an assembly earlier in the year as part of the Rachel’s Challenge program that emphasized the importance of kindness and demonstrated that it can be passed on like a domino effect.

Elementary students created notes of encouragement for the football players.

The team and their coach, Jim Renninger, were the special guests at a pep rally to end the afternoon where they talked to the students about the importance of showing respect and kindness toward others. The event was sponsored by the SWBPS committee at Mill Hall Elementary.
