Civil War

roundtable

There will be a Civil War roundtable at Avenue 209 Coffee House, 209 Bellefonte Ave., Lock Haven, on Jan. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a show and tell about any Civil War gifts anyone has received for Christmas. All are welcome.

Covenant UM soup sale

The Covenant United Methodist Church will have their monthly soup sale on Jan. 12. Pick up is from 11a.m. until 12:30 p.m. All orders are for take out only. The soup this month is homemade chicken noodle. The cost is $5 a quart. The United Methodist Woman will be having a homemade bread and bake sale in conjunction with this soup sale.

Bird walk on

the river walk

Lycoming Audubon bird walk on the river walk, to look for waterfowl as well as raptors such as bald eagles and peregrine falcons will take place at 9 a.m. Jan. 12 weather permitting (check Facebook for updates: facebook.com/groups/lycomingaudubon). Those wishing to attend should meet on the north (Williamsport) side, on top of the dike at the Hepburn Street river walk parking lot.

Model Railroad open house

The Clinton County Model Railroad Club, 15 Logan Ave., Lock Haven, will be holding open houses on Jan. 12, 26 and Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and hot and cold foods and soft drinks are available on Saturdays and Sundays. For more information visit www.ccmrr.org.
