Tickets available for ‘Clint’s Grocery Dash’

County fair fundraiser is March 19

MILL HALL — Ever dream of running through a grocery store for two minutes and filling up your grocery cart with whatever you want… and then getting to keep it all?

Well, you could have that opportunity.

The Clinton County Fair is is sponsoring a grocery shopping spree called “Clint’s Grocery Dash” to benefit events and activities during Clinton County Fair Week in August. In case you didn’t know, Clint is the name of the pig that appears on Clinton County Fair advertisements, signs and posters.

The event will be held on March 19, 2019, at 7 p.m. at the Weis Market in Millbrook Plaza, Hogan Boulevard.

Tickets, at $10 each, are available at the following businesses: Dotterer Equipment, Cottage Restaurant, Miller’s Gun Shop, Miller Brothers Auto Sales, Creekside Restaurant, Weis in Lock Haven and Mill Hall, Kauffman’s in Loganton, Choke and Puke (formerly Darla’s Kitchen in Loganton) Walker’s Hardware and Chatham Run Feed Mill.

There will be five finalists picked from the ticket stubs of those who have purchased tickets. The finalists will report to the Hogan Boulevard Weis Market at 7 p.m. on March 19. Each finalist will have the opportunity to select a one-pound package of Land-O-Lakes butter.

The contestant selecting the package that does NOT contain a $100 gift card will win the shopping spree.

The five finalists will be selected via the 7 p.m. 3-digit PA Lottery daily number, starting Monday, March 11 through Friday, March 15.

The winning contestant will get 2 minutes to fill 2 shopping carts (one at a time) and get them to the check-out counter. All items must stay on the cart, unassisted, when parked in the check-out line.

If the winning ticket holder is unable to participate the opportunity will be offered to the next ticket holder as defined in the rules.

The event is sponsored by Weis Markets, Central Pa. Auto Auction, Paul Dotterer and sons Dairy Farms, Land-O-Lakes Co-Op, Clinton County Fair, Maguire Family, Country View Family Farm, Brown’s Signs and Print and Lloyd Nyman Family Farm.
