Renovo Library gets new heating and cooling system

The Renovo Area Public Library put a recent $12,000 grant from the Clinton County Community Foundation to use as they installed four duck-less mini splits as part of their new heating and cooling system in the library. The Renovo library is a large building that sits right along the Susquehanna River so the new units will be able to heat and cool the structure much more efficiently and quietly than the previous aging system. The library has never had air conditioning in the children’s library and relied on two window units to cool the entire library before the new system was installed. Above, Adam Young, center, and Josh Zellers installed the outdoor section of the ductless heat pump to an outside wall of the library, as the indoor wall mounted control main unit is inside, making for a quiet atmosphere inside of the building.
