Old Photo Album: The flood of ‘36
EXPRESS ARCHIVES
Before the levee was built in the 1990s, flooding plagued the city of Lock Haven. Before Hurricane Agnes in 1972 devastated the city, there was the flood of 1936. Pictured is a section of Main Street between Grove and Vesper, which caused an entire first story worth of damage to local store fronts such as Glossner Brothers Hardware Kitchen Equipment Supply Store, Western Union, Weis Pure Food Stores and the Texas Restaurant.
