Covenant Cafe meets Tuesday
LOCK HAVEN — The Covenant Cafe, an early-stage Alzheimer’s activity group, will be meeting Tuesday, Jan. 1 from 1-3 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St.
Lou Bernard, adult services coordinator at the Ross Library, will give a presentation on the lumbering era in the Susquehanna Valley. The group will also be doing a project with recycled Christmas cards for St. Jude’s and will participate in a game of “Finish the Proverb.”
The Covenant Cafe is a joint venture between the Outreach and Witness Committee of Covenant United Methodist Church, the Alzheimer’s Support Group and the Alzheimer’s Association. Participants in this group are given an opportunity to be involved in socially and physically stimulating programs which will help them remain as active as possible.
