New HIV and STI testing clinic in Lock Haven
LOCK HAVEN — AIDS Resource, Inc., a non-profit organization serving Clinton County, announces a new HIV Testing and STI Testing/Treatment Clinic, at the John Yost Community Center, 180 Bennage Ave., Lock Haven.
The clinic is scheduled the last Monday of every month from 1 to 4 p.m.

The clinic services are free. The HIV test consists of a quick finger stick with rapid test results within the same day. The free STI tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia consist of a urine test with results in about two weeks. All services are free and confidential.
Any resident who had unprotected sex, has a new partner (or has had sex with more than one partner) or for any reason is worried he or she has been exposed to HIV or an STI should make an appointment.
Kirsten Burkhart, Executive Director, noted “we want anyone in the Lock Haven area who feels he or she is at risk for HIV or sexually transmitted infections to have free and easy access to counseling and testing. This new clinic should help anyone in the county have more convenient options. And, anyone using our clinic can be assured we keep visits confidential.”
AIDS Resource, Inc. has offices in Williamsport and State College and provides free medical case management and prevention services in Lycoming, Clinton, Centre, Potter, Snyder and Union counties.
