STROKE AND BRAIN INJURY

– Fourth Tuesday, 2 p.m., UPMC Williamsport Regional Medical Center

Stroke survivors, family members, and caregivers are invited to attend the Stroke and Brain Injury Support Group which off-ers educational programs to improve the quality of life of patients and their families following a stroke or brain injury. Susquehanna Home Care & Hospice’s grief program, offers a support group for young adults ages 18 to 35 who are coping with the death of someone close to them. This support group provides a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space for participants to share their loss experiences, express their feelings and take time to remember the one who has died. CANCER SUPPORT GROUP

This group is open to all cancer survivors with a past or present diagnosis. We encourage friends and family to join. If you are not feeling up to attending a meeting, please know we are here for each other every month. PROSTRATE CANCER SUPPORT GROUP at Cancer Center

– First Wednesday, 6 p.m.

This group is open to all males with a past or present prostate cancer diagnosis. Spouses are also encouraged to attend. Speakers of various topics are prearranged for certain months of the year. Attendees are asked to please use the Cancer Center entrance and parking area. The August meeting is substituted with an annual picnic held at Indian Park in Montoursville. December’s meeting is substituted with an annual holiday dinner. There are no group meetings the months of January and July. The group meets in the Cancer Center’s Large Conference Room, UPMC Williamsport Regional Medical Center, Divine Providence Campus, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport. SUPPORT GROUP

This group is open to all women with a past or present diagnosis of breast cancer at any stage. Speakers of various topics are prearranged for certain months of the year. Attendees are asked to please use the Cancer Center entrance and parking area. The August meeting is substituted with an annual picnic held in the Healing Garden at the Cancer Center. There are no meetings held in July or December. LIVING WITH DIABETES

SUPPORT GROUP

Living with Diabetes provides support for individuals who are managing diabetes. Meeting dates include Thursday, May 9 – Caring for Yourself or a Loved One with Diabetes; Thursday, Sept. 12 – Dancing with Diabetes; and Thursday, Nov. 14 – World Diabetes Day. Cardiopulmonary therapists and rotating guest speakers address topics relevant to people with lung disease the third Thursday of each month.
