UPMC Susquehanna introduces new Age Well program
WILLIAMSPORT — UPMC Susquehanna recently launched a new program encouraging seniors to live their healthiest lives — Age Well.
Age Well is a free membership program for seniors age 55 and up who live near a UPMC Susquehanna hospital.
As an Age Well member, seniors will have the opportunity to learn about their personal wellness through access to health care services and provider’s necessary to be healthy throughout their best years.
Age Well members receive exclusive benefits including:
– Invitations to monthly wellness events offered at UPMC Susquehanna hospitals, including Lock Haven, Muncy, Soldiers + Sailors, Sunbury, Williamsport, and at UPMC Cole.
– Discounts to local and national business rewards partners.
– A quarterly newsletter with health tips, recipes, and a listing of free and discounted senior events in the region.
– Networking opportunities to meet like-minded seniors at events.
Seniors do not need to be UPMC Health Plan members to participate.
The first Age Well event will be Senior Day Out – “Awake, Aware, and Giving.”
The event will be held, Thursday, March 21, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 100 Pine St., Williamsport, and will feature keynote speaker Susan Russell, PhD, associate professor in the School of Theatre at Penn State University and co-founder and co-director of the Center for Pedagogy in Arts and Design, as well as free health screenings and education by UPMC providers, refreshments and door prizes. Registration is required, and you must be an Age Well member to attend.
