Bucktail Cheerleaders Host Pink Out

Bucktail varsity cheerleader Katelyn Pick and all of the Bucks cheerleaders hosted a “Pink Out” during the final football game of the season, as similar events are held all over the world to boost awareness of breast cancer. The cheerleaders offered pink pompons to the crowd for donations and even tossed out pink footballs and T-shirts. Combining the funds raised with those from a previous bake sale, the cheerleaders were able to make a $320 donation to the Karen Dwyer Jones Memorial Fund, named in memory of a beloved Renovo native who died after a prolonged fight with cancer. The varsity cheerleaders will soon be seen throughout the greater Renovo area painting windows and helping the area prepare for the upcoming holidays.
