Keystone All-Stars honored in Harrisburg

LOCK HAVEN — The Keystone Little League Major All-Star Team was honored in Harrisburg recently, receiving citations from both State Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Lock Haven, and State Sen. Joe Scarnati, R- Brockway.

The team, which captured the hearts of the area last summer and came one game short of playing in the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, was greeted on the floor of the House and Senate this week.

The 2016 season started with over 1,800 teams comprised of 10, 11 and 12 year olds from all across the country. The Keystone Major Little League 11-12 Year Old All-Star  Team ranked second overall. Hanna called it a huge accomplishment and said players should be very proud of themselves.

“Although the team was one win shy of competing in the Little League World Series, having fallen short of a win in the Mid-Atlantic Regional title game, our hearts are filled with pride in Clinton County and across Pennsylvania,” said Hanna. “These extraordinary young men have truly demonstrated the best of what our region and Pennsylvania as a whole has to offer.”
