Cookie sale at Great Island
Chocolate chip, peanut butter blossoms, oatmeal raisin for $5/dozen and raisin filled for $7/dozen. Orders are being taken at the church now through Dec. 2 by calling 570-748-2810. Cookies will be available for pick up on Dec. 9 and 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Brite Laundry Center, 950 Bellefonte Ave., is collecting non-perishable food items for the Clinton County Housing Coalition’s new Merit House men’s shelter. Donations are accepted between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily. Brite Laundry will donate a dollar for every pound of food collected.
The STEP, Inc. Office of Aging partners with area businesses and individuals to collect items for gift boxes that will be delivered in time for the holidays to home-bound senior citizens who receive Meals on Wheels. Small gift items such as snacks, lotions, crossword books, socks or slippers can be dropped at the STEP Clinton County Community Center, 124 E. Walnut St.; The Express, 9 W. Main St.; or STEP’s Mill Hall Senior Center, 9 Peale Ave., Mill Hall.
