JS Borough fires employee, will advertise position
JERSEY SHORE — The Jersey Shore Borough Council held a special meeting Monday night for a personnel matter, resulting in the termination of a highway worker, Jim Fulkrod.
After a lengthy executive session, closed to the public, council opened the public meeting with a motion to terminate Fulkrod. The borough will advertise to fill the position.
Paul Garrett abstained from the vote due to a “family connection” with the Fulkrods, he said.
Council members declined to make any further comment.
