BLANCHARD – During the month of November, students from Liberty-Curtin Elementary School participated in Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child is a program that aims at spreading the joy of the Christmas season with children across the globe. Liberty-Curtin students were asked to bring in donations of hygiene items, school supplies and toys for boys and girls ages 2-14. Under the direction of Mrs. Stephanie Zerby, Title 1 Reading teacher, students wrote letters to be placed in the boxes and worked diligently to wrap and pack 25 boxes to be distributed! Third-grade student Remington Ripka stated, “We do this for the kids who don’t have as much as we do.”

This year, we experienced overwhelming support thanks to the continued efforts of our parents, students and community members. Mrs. Zerby’s students would like to thank the Liberty-Curtin Student Council for sponsoring the boxes!
