Drivers advised to

avoid five-way light

LOCK HAVEN — The traffic signal pole at the five-way light — the intersection of Bellefonte Avenue, East and West Church Street and Corning Street — is being replaced, with the work starting yesterday and continuing through today, weather permitting.

The signal will be entirely out of service today, and temporary traffic control measures, including flagmen, will be used.

The city has hired Lecce Electric Company to do the work.

Drivers are advised to be alert while driving in this area and avoid the area if possible.

Restaurants can learn about

proposed sidewalk seating

LOCK HAVEN — All business owners and members of the general public interested in the idea of outdoor cafe-style seating in Lock Haven are invited to an open meeting on the subject Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Downtown Lock Haven Inc. will host the gathering at its office at 205 E. Main St., across from The Texas.

Mayor William E. Baney III and Assistant City Manager Gregory J. Wilson will attend and expect to hear feedback about the city’s proposed ordinance on sidewalk cafe seating.

To receive a copy of the proposed ordinance by email, send your request by email to Downtown Manager Natasha Gorham at ngorham@lockhaven.org.

Josh Grimes, president of the Downtown Inc. board, said local restaurant owners are especially encouraged to attend.
