Renovo Christmas

Parade needs floats

RENOVO — The Flaming Foliage Festival Committee is looking for volunteers to enter a float in this year’s Christmas Parade. The date is Sunday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m.

A group or individuals can also march with a Christmas theme in mind.

Cash prizes will be awarded in both the float and unit participation categories.

The Bucktail Alumni Band will be marching in the parade this year. They are bringing Olaf along with them to wave to all the area children. The band will remain at the Flaming Foliage Lot and will play some favorites for the crowd. Olaf will also be there for parents to take their kid’s pictures with him.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their appearance in the parade.

Immediately following the parade, Santa will listen to Christmas wishes from the kids.

The committee will provide hot chocolate and cookies.

To register for the parade, call 923-1923.
