Board reorganizes, Knauff still president

MILL HALL — The Keystone Central School Board held its annual reorganization meeting Thursday, naming James “Butch” Knauff as president of the board.

The board voted unanimously to elect Knauff to the lead position, then unanimously voted for Jeff Johnston as vice president.

In a series of votes, also unanimous, the board appointed Debbie Smith as liaison to the Pennsylvania School Board Association and PSBA Employee Relations contact for the district.

KDSD Superintendent Kelly Hastings was appointed National School Board Association representative, and Knauff was appointed representative to the Central Intermediate Unite No. 10 Board of Directors.

In other actions, the board:

r Approved bills amounting to $2.72 million.

r Tabled a LERTA tax exemption application for Davis and Davis Real Estate, until more information can be obtained by the applicant.

r Employed Marisha J. Cruz director of special education at a salary of $101,575 to fill the position left empty by the resignation of Cindi Marsh.
